Encouragement For Your Journey With God

About Jodie

Jodie Chiricosta

I am so glad you’ve come! And I hope you find encouragement in your journey with God while you are here. You’ll learn a lot about me by reading the blogs, but to get started, here a bird’s eye view.

My Service

I currently serve as the Vice President of Somebody Cares America/ International.  In my 20+ years of experience in disaster response, humanitarian relief and development with Operation Blessing and Somebody Cares America as well as my continual involvement in a variety of community service and international outreach activities, I have long tried to be an agent of positive change.  I have also invested significant time in equipping local churches across the US to be the love of God in their communities.

I am an active member of my local church where I have headed up Women’s Ministry. In addition, I served the compassion group of Mission America’s Love 2020 movement; consulted on a variety of US and international outreach initiatives; and I serve on the Board of Somebody Cares America.

In addition to blogging, I have been published in several printed as well as on-line publications. Those include Ministries Today, Spirit-Led Woman, Woman to Woman, Somebody Cares, Charisma and Crosswalk.com.  And I am an occasional conference speaker in the USA and overseas covering various topics facing churches and lay leaders..

Training

I hold a DMin from West Coast Bible College and Seminary, an M.A. in Biblical Studies and an M.A. in International/Cross-Cultural Communication from Regent University, and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Tampa

Family

I married my wonderful husband, Ron, in 2004, and gained an instant family with his six children. They are all adults now and we try to keep up with their busy lives when possible.

I have faced trials, disappointments and struggles along the way, but God is ALWAYS faithful to bring me through. I hope to share more of my life and faith journey with you along the way.

Blessings,

Jodie Nelson Chiricosta
