God’s Plan for You
January 3, 2020
I know God’s ultimate plan for you!
You may think me presumptuous – but it’s true. He has laid it out plainly in His Word. It is the big overarching theme of the Bible. It is revealed through the lives of the men and women we read about there, and also written about in the teachings of Jesus and His Apostles.
As Jesus prayed in the final hours before His death and resurrection, He says He came so we might have eternal life. He states, “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent (John 17:3).”
To Know God
God’s plan is that you know Him! And this isn’t just casual knowing. His plan is that you know Him so intimately, so completely, that you become part of His bride! Revelations 19, which gives us a glimpse of the return of Christ in glory, it tells us that when He comes again it will be fore His bride!
Of course, like any marriage proposal, you have the option to say no. But once you discover who His is and what God is really like – there is no way you will refuse Him or His plan!
Bad things may have happened to you, your family or those you love. But those bad things were not caused by God.
You may have encountered people who call themselves Christian, but do not live their lives according to the teachings of Christ. Don’t let their bad behavior rob you of a deeply loving and fulfilling relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
God’s Plan Is Good
If you want to know God, He will reveal Himself to you in ways you can not even image. His plan is for you to know Him. Moreover, He has good plans for you, to prosper you and not to harm you (Jer. 29:11) if you will seek Him to know Him.
The way God works out His plan in your life will be different from anyone else’s. It will be an intimate journey – you and God. And on that journey you can discover how high, and wide and deep His love is for you. He already knows you better than you know yourself – after all He is the one you formed you in your mother’s womb (Is. 44:2); so He knows just want you need to feel loved.
God’s ultimate plan for you is better than your wildest imagination – just say yes!
